“Skokiewas represented well this Memorial Day weekend in Park Ridge’s Wood Bat Tournament. The young men of 14U went 4 and 1 Friday, Saturday and Sunday and played in the Championship game. Sunday, they fought through three games, battling the hot sun. In the end, eight hours of baseball and heat got the better of them, taking 2nd place. Regardless of the outcome, it was a wonderful weekend for Skokiebaseball and a great start to the season… an accomplishment to be proud of.”
